My Learning Fall and Rise

When coming to class in August 12 I was already coming a bit late and I felt anxious because I had a AP class in the beginning of school. So I had general idea on how AP teachers acted, but when I walked in I felt welcomed and overwhelmed on how open the class is. Knowing we'll be posting blogs was something I would expect in a million years for a AP class.

When I took my seat, I noticed my teacher was a male which was a first. I never had a male English teacher, I always had female English teachers. The options the class was given by Dr. Preston was very unexpected, especially when we the class had the choice to choose how we wanted to learn for the rest of the year.

Doing the Journals was fairly to do and the Blogs weren't hard to do at all, but the difficult part was to memorize poetries. For me this was a difficult task because I have a awful memory, I would always forget things and I still do. Then posting videos to prove we memorized the poem was nerve racking because I'm very insecure about look.

The hard part was when we had to do an essay which was very standard, but I hate writing essays and I find writing essays very difficult. I realized doing all these Blog posts and Journal entries wasn't very different from doing an essay. Once I started doing the essay it didn't feel very stressful from previous experiences. Doing the Journal entries was very helpful towards writing a essay.

Throughout this semester I've been unconsciously been making routines for school and outside school. This class has been excersing the best trait I have which is being understanding. It never crossed my mind is when writing you want your audience to understand you. What didn't cross my is being understood comes both ways from author to reader and reader to author. I always thought it was author to reader, and this information has been very important and helpful in improving my writing skills. This journey from August 12 to present day has been very insightful and constructive in building my personality and techniques that will help me forever.
